Umegahata asagi #1115
This stone is from one of the Umegahata valley mines, either Okudo but I
suspect from Nakayama. It has all of the indicators of Nakayama except the
lighter ocher color on the skin. Not a hard of difficult to use stone, it has a
perfect cloudy or foggy pattern of light asagi that creates a yellow slurry.
One area on the top edge has not been fully lapped but will flatten out with
use. Creates perfect edges with little effort, excellent form with kawa on the
back and one side. You might see a super thin solid inclusion in the photos
but I assure you that it is not toxic and it is solid. This stone will be your
favorite. Comes with a tested tomonagura slurry stone.
The stone (toishi) has been lapped perfectly flat and the corners and edges
beveled unless otherwise noted. All of my stones come with a money back
guarantee minus the return shipping.
