Narutaki iromono akapin #28 A beautiful olive/yellow green with areas of rouge all within a kan or tree ring pattern. This is a medium hard stone that will self slurry and it is easy to use. I test all of my stones with a slurry made using a diamond Atoma #600, this tests the stones grit in an effective way. The akapin strata is a shallow tomae type layer of stone within the mining system and is usually a softer stone than the deeper layers, often excellent for tools and knives they can be fine gritted enough to with some skill be use to hone razors or any fine edged tool. Shave tested, this is an grade A razor hone. All of my stones come with a tested tomonagura slurry stone. The toishi has been lapped perfectly flat, the sides dressed and the corners and edges beveled unless otherwise noted. All of my stones come with a money back guarantee minus the return shipping. |
