Okudo gray variegated tomae #380
Lovely mellow medium gray tomae with a variegated foggy patter reminiscent
of a the Nakayama mine, the location of the closed Okudo mine was just up
the road a short distance. The back has a full Okudo kawa skin, this is a very
solid fairly hard stone in the 5 range. An excellent razor hone that can be
use with clear water or a slurry made with a tomonagura or a diamond plate. I
have shaved from this stone with perfect comfort and closeness. I will include
a tested and matching tomonagura with this stone.
The toishi has been lapped perfectly flat, the sides dressed and the corners
and edges beveled unless otherwise noted. All of my stones come with a
money back guarantee minus the shipping.
