#390 Shobudani asagi
An excellent example of a Shobudani transitional asagi with a mostly blue/gray
body and an area of green at the upper left corner. The cloudy or foggy pattern
top surface and a quilted pattern kawa skin on the back are typical of stones
from the Shobudani mine. This is a semi hard stone in the 5+range,
super smooth and fast cutting that will create comfortable
and close shaves with just a little effort.
I have honed a Henckels razor on this stone with a diamond plate generated
slurry and the cutting action was very fast and as the slurry broke
down the finishing session created a beautiful soft polish and a perfectly
formed edge with HHT-5 results.
The stone (toishi) has been lapped perfectly flat and the corners and edges beveled
unless otherwise noted. All of my stones come with a tested and appropriately sized
tomonaguara slurry stone, and a money back guarantee minus the return shipping.
