#646 gray karasu

Not sure which mine this is from but it is very smooth but only medium hard
making it a very good finishing stone for those using X strokes.
The stone is homogeneous and the black spots are not so vivid although
at some point down into the stone they might stand out more. Only
time will tell. It would be a good stone for harder steel or even stainless. I did
hone a vintage Friodur yesterday and the shave was really fine.

The stone (toishi) has been lapped flat and the corners and
edges beveled unless otherwise noted.  All of my stones come with a tested
and appropriately sized tomonaguara slurry stone, and a money back
guarantee minus the return shipping.
All stones are sold with a
money back guarantee
minus the return shipping.
