Shobudani suita #71
Choice suita from the Shobudani mine, this stone is designated for tools and knives
because it is so thick but it is so fine that I can be used for razors. The hardness level is
medium hard so it will self slurry under a blade and will leave bi-metal blades with clear
contrasts between the hard steel and soft iron. When used with clear running water it will
still provide some contrast but the blade in general will look brighter. The back side has
been touch with a diamond plate so it will sit stable on a bench or easily mounted in a
stone holder. The stone is almost a perfect form with all 4 corners and good proportions.
The toishi has been lapped perfectly flat, the sides dressed and the corners and edges
beveled unless otherwise noted. All of my stones come with a money back guarantee
minus the shipping.
